Thrifting with a Friend

So continuing on the Road Trip I took to Maryland a couple weekends ago. Wendy, Nimble and I took it slow through Pennsylvania.  We came upon this Great Thrift Store in Gap, PA. I recommend this shop, It was organized, clean, Friendly and In Expensive....

The upstairs is packed full of all kinds of Household Items, I bought a few as you can imagine. 

There is a Great Dinner in Gap about 1/2 mile up the road on the same side of the street as this shop. They make a Great Philly Cheese Steak .....

Next stop Pottsville, PA on the return trip

What's a little Thrifting amoung Friends.

I left home at 5:30 Saturday Morning (last weekend) with an empty Ford Escape and 2" of snow on the ground and more falling.  I was all Excited about my road trip Thrifting Adventure with my BFF -  destination East New Market, Maryland by way of Lancaster PA.

We arrived at The Main Street Closet in Strasburg PA Outside of Lancaster around 10ish

This isn't a very big shop but it had a lot to offer and it was clean and well kept. The proceeds from this shop benefit people all around the world through MCC Mennonite Central Committee

This is Wendy my BFF from elementary School Through Graduation and beyond. She is owner operator of her own Etsy Shop selling Vintage Fashions  http://www.etsy.com/shop/LilaCInspirations?view_type=gallery

Wendy can sure spot a great piece of Vintage Fashion at Record speed, just look at how fast that hand is moving through the dresses on that rack. 

I managed to find a couple items for my Vintage Etsy Shop. I'll be listing this Great Pitcher from Portugal and Loaf Pan this weekend.

I'm getting Hungry by now but have one more stop before we can eat, because they close early.

I MADE THE FRONT PAGE TODAY.. I'm doing the HAPPY DANCE

It's times like these I'm glad I don't have Brink-and-Mortar Shop

Well it's been 5 days since I've had a sale in my Etsy shop. I looked back at my stats and found I haven't went that long with out a sale Since May of last year...  I've tried analyzing the reasons why the lack of sales, I've Phoned a friend, Phoned Home mostly to wine and have someone tell me it will be OK.  I've even thought about Group Therapy or even going on a Vacation to get away.

I've searched for inspiration, tried smudging (burning white sage), Searched Etsy for answers, Read more about Google and SEO.

The only thing different that I have done is change the name of my Etsy Shop in the past 30 days.  I am under the impression that Etsy would direct traffic to my shop for 45 days if anyone used the direct link so That doesn't explain the lack of sales either, and anyway my views haven't went down just the sales. 


So I've decided to do the only thing I can do..... Light some incense, do some Positive affirmations and start my Spring Cleaning......  and remember what my mother always said  "a watched pot never boils".

So it's times like these I'm Thankful I don't have a Brick-&-Mortar shop........
